To All District Faculty and Staff:

In an effort to simplify and streamline school communications, ParentSquare is making a change to post notifications.

What’s changing?
Today, users (staff/parents/students) may receive multiple notifications for the same post – email, text, and an app notification.
Beginning Friday, December 12 post notifications will be sent to the ParentSquare app first, with a text back up only if needed—thus reducing duplicate messages. Email notifications will continue to be sent for all posts just as they are today.

For staff/parents/students who have set up accounts in ParentSquare:
If an account has been created/registered in ParentSquare/StudentSquare (mobile app or on the web), post notifications will be sent to their account along with an email.

Text messages for posts will NOT be sent unless the app (push) notifications have been turned OFF in the user’s notification settings.

For staff/parents/students who have NOT set up accounts in ParentSquare:
There will be no change--they will receive text and email notifications for posts.

What is NOT affected?
Time-sensitive messages such as Direct Messages, Alerts, and Notices.
